1. Service Description

PaperBoss is a document tracking tool that helps general contractors collect and manage subcontractor compliance documents including certificates of insurance (COIs), W-9 forms, and lien waivers. PaperBoss is not an insurance verification service and does not validate the authenticity or accuracy of uploaded documents.

2. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for verifying the authenticity and accuracy of all documents uploaded to PaperBoss. You are responsible for ensuring your subcontractors maintain valid insurance coverage. PaperBoss provides tracking and reminders as a convenience but does not guarantee compliance.

3. Account Terms

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use PaperBoss. One person or company per account. Sharing accounts is not permitted.

4. Subscription and Billing

PaperBoss offers a 14-day free trial. After the trial, a paid subscription is required to continue using the service. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Access continues through the end of your billing period.

5. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data and documents you upload to PaperBoss. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.

6. Limitation of Liability

PaperBoss is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from expired documents, missed notifications, or compliance failures. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.
