CG 20 01

CG 20 01 is the ISO endorsement 'Primary and Noncontributory – Other Insurance Condition.' It amends the Other Insurance clause in a Commercial General Liability policy so that coverage is both primary (pays first) and non-contributory (does not require contribution from the Additional Insured's own policy) with respect to any party listed as Additional Insured. This endorsement is critical for construction GCs because without it, a claim caused by a sub can trigger shared loss between the sub's and GC's insurers, affecting both carriers' loss runs and both companies' premiums at renewal.
